When we beated the World Record for distant sights almost a year ago, from the same place and at the same time, we never tought we were about to repeat it.
After days of calculation, preparation and planning we were again at the top of Pic du Canigó, just a little moments before sunrise, awating for the view that stopped the time.
Exactly at the forecasted time, and at the very certain place we were waiting it, the sun rose behind Alp-de-Haute-Provence.

Canigó – Tête de Chabriere | 381 km.

When this picture was taken, it became the distant sight world record.
It was overtaken by this picture at 388 km. and then by this picture at 443 km.

After days of researching, Marc discovered that certain peaks in Maritime Alps range will show in front of the sun at sunrise near summer solstice. Even better, this event will became in a new world record for distant sighting.
