Milan has sent us these pictures of the Italian, Austrian and Slovenian Alps, as seen from the beautiful Slovenian village of Izola, very close to Trieste city. The photographs shows us a large portion of this important mountainous area rising directly above the Adriatic sea. In order to better appreciate the distant details, all original full-sized photographs have been cropped.
Some of the most distant or prominent mountains are:
292,7º – Cima Quarazza (2530 m) 174,4 km – Largest distance
294,7º – Cima d’Asta (2847 m) 173,8 km
300,9º – Cimon della Pala (3184 m) 164,3 km
301,2º – Cima della Vezzana (3192 m) 164 km
310,2º – Pelmo (3168 m) 152,9 km
313,7º – Antelao (3264 m) 147 km
333,5º – Hohe Warte/Monte Coglians (2780 m) 132,6 km
008,5º – Triglav (2863 m) 94 km
