Swifts are long distance birds.
They are used to travel around the globe in order to look for the best climate, and in this journey they stay in Africa during Norhern Hemisphere winter months and then travel North once the summer sets.
As you can see in the picture, there are some swifts flying around, what tells us that summer is approaching. Nevertheless, this is the only sign of warm weather, as the mountains still keep the snow longer than ever.
It has been one of the snowiest seasons in the Pyrenees so far, and this fantastic picture from David Guenot shows it very well.
